Konum verisi, mikrofon veya ses kaydı, kişiler, takvim verisi, sağlık verisi veya herhangi bir özel nitelikli veri (ırk veya etnik köken, siyasi görüş, dini inanç, biyometrik veri veya cinsel yönelim) toplamıyoruz.
2İşlemenin Hukuki Dayanağı
GDPR (AB/Birleşik Krallık) ve KVKK (Türkiye) kapsamında kişisel verilerinizi aşağıdaki hukuki sebeplere dayanarak işleriz:
- Sözleşmenin ifası — hesabınızı oluşturmak, Uygulamanın temel özelliklerini, ücretsiz denemeyi ve Premium aboneliğinizi sağlamak için.
- Rıza — bildirimler ve mevzuatın rıza gerektirdiği durumlarda kullanım analitiği için; rızanızı istediğiniz zaman geri çekebilirsiniz.
- Meşru menfaat — Uygulamayı sürdürmek, güvenliğini sağlamak, ücretsiz deneme hakkının kötüye kullanılmasını ve dolandırıcılığı önlemek ve Hizmetlerimizi geliştirmek için.
- Hukuki yükümlülük — yürürlükteki mevzuata uyum için işleme gerektiğinde.
3Daha Yakından Bakış: Fotoğraflar, Sayfalar ve Neler Kaydediliyor
Bir kitap sayfasını veya metni fotoğrafladığınızda, fotoğrafın tamamı şifreli bağlantı üzerinden sunucumuza ve oradan yapay zeka hizmet sağlayıcımız Anthropic'e (Claude API) iletilir. Cihazınızda ayrı bir metin tanıma (OCR) işlemi yapılmaz. Fotoğraf, işlem tamamlandıktan sonra tarafımızca saklanmaz.
- Fotoğraf, Microsoft Azure üzerinde barındırılan sunucumuzdan yalnızca Anthropic'e iletilmek üzere geçer; sunucumuzda, kayıt (log) dosyalarımızda veya veritabanlarımızda saklanmaz.
- Anthropic, fotoğraftaki altı çizili veya işaretli kelimeleri tespit eder ve çeviri, örnek cümle ve sayfa özeti (gramer kontrolünde ise düzeltme ve açıklama) üretir. Anthropic, API'si üzerinden iletilen içeriği kendi ticari koşulları ve gizlilik politikası çerçevesinde işler; bu koşullar uyarınca içerik model eğitimi için kullanılmaz.
- Bir kelimeyi favorilerinize veya flash kartlarınıza kaydederseniz yalnızca kelimeyi, çevirisini ve yapay zeka tarafından oluşturulan örnek cümleyi saklarız. Kitaptaki özgün cümle, paragraf veya sayfa metni kaydedilmez.
- Sayfa özeti, talebiniz üzerine üretilip size gösterilir; sayfanın tam metni ve özet veritabanlarımızda saklanmaz. Gramer kontrolünde fotoğrafladığınız metin de aynı şekilde yalnızca sonucu üretmek için işlenir.
- Telaffuz dinlediğinizde, seslendirilecek kelime veya cümlenin metni Microsoft Azure seslendirme hizmetine gönderilir ve size ses olarak döndürülür.
- Fotoğrafın kendisi — görüntü dosyası — bir kelime kaydetseniz de etmeseniz de tarafımızca saklanmaz.
- Fotoğrafın tamamı işlendiği için, fotoğrafladığınız sayfa veya metinde size ya da başkalarına ait kişisel veya hassas bilgilerin bulunmamasına lütfen dikkat edin.
- Telif hakkıyla korunan kitap içeriğini kullanmanızın yürürlükteki telif hakkı mevzuatına uygun olmasından yalnızca siz sorumlusunuz. Ayrıntılar için Kullanım Koşullarımızın 9. Maddesine bakın.

4Uygulamayı Çalıştırmamıza Yardımcı Olan Dış Şirketler
Verileri yalnızca aşağıda listelenen hizmet sağlayıcılarla, Uygulamayı işletmek için gerekli olduğu ölçüde ve kendi gizlilik politikaları ile (ilgiliyse) bizimle yaptıkları bir veri işleme sözleşmesi kapsamında paylaşırız:

Kişisel verilerinizi üçüncü taraflara satmıyoruz ve reklam amacıyla paylaşmıyoruz. Yasal zorunluluk, mahkeme kararı veya yasal haklarımızı korumak amacıyla veri paylaşabiliriz.
5Reklam ve Analitik
Uygulamada reklam gösterilmez; reklam ağlarıyla veri paylaşmıyoruz ve verilerinizi reklam hedefleme amacıyla kullanmıyoruz.
Uygulamanın nasıl kullanıldığını anlamak ve hataları gidermek için Google Analytics for Firebase ve Firebase Crashlytics kullanıyoruz. Bu araçlar; kullanım olayları, uygulama örneği kimliği, cihaz modeli, işletim sistemi sürümü ve çökme kayıtları gibi teknik verileri toplar.
6Veri Saklama
- Hesap olmadan: Hesap oluşturmadığınız sürece sunucularımızda size ait hesap bilgisi veya kaydedilmiş kelime tutulmaz.
- Hesaplı kullanım: Verileriniz hesabınız aktif olduğu sürece saklanır ve hesap silme talebinizden itibaren 30 gün içinde silinir (bkz. Madde 12).
- Fotoğraflar ve tam sayfa metni: talep edilen işlem tamamlandıktan sonra tarafımızca saklanmaz.
- Abonelik ve deneme kaydı: Abonelik ve deneme durumunuz hesabınız aktif olduğu sürece saklanır ve hesap silme talebinizden itibaren 30 gün içinde diğer verilerinizle birlikte silinir. Mağaza tarafındaki satın alma kayıtları Apple ve Google'ın kendi politikalarına tabidir.
- Hata ve teknik kayıtlar: tanılama amacıyla en fazla 12 ay saklanır.
Bölüm C — Bölgeye Göre Seçimleriniz
7Uluslararası Veri Aktarımları
Hizmet sağlayıcılarımız (Google, Anthropic, Microsoft ve RevenueCat), verileri ABD dahil olmak üzere ikamet ettiğiniz ülke dışında işleyebilir. Kişisel verileri AB/Birleşik Krallık'tan yeterlilik kararı bulunmayan bir ülkeye aktardığımızda, Avrupa Komisyonu'nun Standart Sözleşme Hükümleri gibi uygun güvenceler kullanırız. Türkiye'den yapılan yurt dışı aktarımlar, 6698 sayılı Kanun'un 9. maddesinde öngörülen usullere uygun olarak gerçekleştirilir.
8Haklarınız
Bulunduğunuz yere bağlı olarak şu haklara sahip olabilirsiniz:
- Hakkınızda tuttuğumuz kişisel verilere erişme.
- Yanlış verilerin düzeltilmesini talep etme.
- Verilerinizin silinmesini talep etme ("unutulma hakkı").
- Belirli işlemlere itiraz etme veya bunların kısıtlanmasını isteme.
- Verilerinizin taşınabilir bir formatta bir kopyasını talep etme.
- İşleme rızaya dayandığında rızanızı istediğiniz zaman geri çekme.

9Kaliforniya'da İseniz
Kaliforniya sakiniyseniz, CCPA size hangi kişisel bilgileri topladığımızı öğrenme, bunların silinmesini talep etme ve kişisel bilgilerin "satışından" veya "paylaşımından" (çapraz bağlamlı davranışsal reklamcılık dahil) çıkma hakkı tanır. Kişisel bilgilerinizi satmıyoruz ve çapraz bağlamlı davranışsal reklamcılık amacıyla paylaşmıyoruz. CCPA talebi göndermek için support@bookreadinghelper.com adresinden bize ulaşın.
10Türkiye'de İseniz (KVKK)
6698 sayılı Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu'nun 11. maddesi uyarınca; kişisel verinizin işlenip işlenmediğini öğrenme, işlenmişse buna ilişkin bilgi talep etme, işlenme amacını ve bunların amacına uygun kullanılıp kullanılmadığını öğrenme, yurt içinde veya yurt dışında verilerin aktarıldığı üçüncü kişileri bilme, eksik veya yanlış işlenmiş verilerin düzeltilmesini isteme, verilerin silinmesini veya yok edilmesini talep etme, bu işlemlerin verilerin aktarıldığı üçüncü kişilere bildirilmesini isteme, münhasıran otomatik sistemler vasıtasıyla yapılan analiz sonucu aleyhinize bir sonucun ortaya çıkmasına itiraz etme ve verilerin kanuna aykırı işlenmesi sebebiyle zarara uğramanız halinde zararın giderilmesini talep etme haklarına sahipsiniz. Bölüm D — Pratik Detaylar
11Yaş Sınırı ve Çocukların Gizliliği
Uygulamayı kullanmak için gereken asgari yaş, bulunduğunuz yere göre değişir:
- Avrupa Ekonomik Alanı (AEA) veya Birleşik Krallık'ta iseniz, ikamet ettiğiniz ülke daha düşük bir dijital rıza yaşı (en düşük 13 olabilir) belirlemediği sürece en az 16 yaşında olmalısınız; bu durumda o daha düşük yaş geçerli olur.
- AEA/Birleşik Krallık dışındaysanız, en az 13 yaşında olmalısınız veya bulunduğunuz yargı alanında gereken asgari yaş — hangisi daha yüksekse.
Geçerli asgari yaşın altındaki çocuklardan bilerek kişisel veri toplamıyoruz. Bir çocuğun bu Maddeyi ihlal ederek bize kişisel veri sağladığını düşünüyorsanız, silmemiz için lütfen bizimle iletişime geçin.
12Hesabınızı Nasıl Silersiniz
Hesabınızı istediğiniz zaman Uygulamanın Ayarlar menüsünden veya support@bookreadinghelper.com adresinden bizimle iletişime geçerek silebilirsiniz. Silme işleminin ardından, kaydedilmiş kelimeleriniz, favorileriniz ve hesap bilgileriniz, yasal olarak saklama gerekmediği sürece, aktif sistemlerimizden 30 gün içinde kalıcı olarak kaldırılır. Hesabınızı silmek, uygulama mağazası üzerinden başlattığınız aboneliği veya ücretsiz denemeyi iptal etmez; bunu Apple ID veya Google Play hesap ayarlarınızdan ayrıca iptal etmeniz gerekir.
13Verilerinizi Nasıl Koruyoruz
Bilgilerinizi korumak için, aktarım sırasında şifreleme ve sistemlerimizde erişim kontrolleri dahil olmak üzere makul idari, teknik ve fiziksel önlemler uyguluyoruz. Ancak hiçbir elektronik iletim veya depolama yöntemi tamamen güvenli değildir ve mutlak güvenliği garanti edemeyiz.
14Bu Politika Değişirse
Bu Politikayı zaman zaman kendi takdirimize bağlı olarak değiştirebiliriz. Üstteki "Son güncelleme" tarihi en son revizyonu yansıtır. Önemli değişiklikler Uygulama üzerinden veya diğer makul yollarla bildirilecektir. Değişiklikler yürürlüğe girdikten sonra Uygulamayı kullanmaya devam etmeniz, revize edilmiş Politikayı kabul ettiğiniz anlamına gelir.

This document explains what happens to your information when you use Book Reading Helper (the "App") to scan book pages, translate words, generate summaries, check grammar and review vocabulary. Our approach is simple: we only collect the data needed to run the App's features, we do not keep your photos once processing is complete, we do not show ads, and we tell you clearly which outside companies help us provide the Service.
This Policy applies together with our Terms of Use, which you must accept before using the App. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below. You can send your questions at any time to support@bookreadinghelper.com.

Part A — What We Collect and Why
1Information by Feature
Instead of one long list, here is what the App collects depending on the feature that needs it:

We do not collect location data, microphone or voice recordings, contacts, calendar data, health data or any special category data (racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, biometric data or sexual orientation).
2Legal Basis for Processing
Under the GDPR (EU/UK) and the KVKK (Türkiye), we process your personal data on the following legal grounds:
- Performance of a contract — to create your account and provide the App's core features, the free trial and your Premium subscription.
- Consent — for notifications and, where the law requires consent, usage analytics; you can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — to maintain and secure the App, prevent abuse of the free trial and fraud, and improve our Services.
- Legal obligation — where processing is required to comply with applicable law.
3A Closer Look: Photos, Pages and What Gets Saved
When you photograph a book page or text, the entire photo is sent over an encrypted connection to our server and from there to our AI service provider, Anthropic (Claude API). No separate text recognition (OCR) runs on your device. The photo is not stored by us once processing is complete.
- The photo passes through our server, hosted on Microsoft Azure, only to be forwarded to Anthropic; it is not stored on our server, in our log files or in our databases.
- Anthropic detects the underlined or marked words in the photo and produces translations, example sentences and a page summary (or, for the grammar check, corrections and explanations). Anthropic processes content sent through its API under its own commercial terms and privacy policy; under those terms, the content is not used for model training.
- If you save a word to your favorites or flashcards, we store only the word, its translation and the AI-generated example sentence. The original sentence, paragraph or page text from the book is not saved.
- The page summary is generated at your request and shown to you; neither the full text of the page nor the summary is stored in our databases. Text you photograph for the grammar check is likewise processed only to produce the result.
- When you listen to a pronunciation, the text of the word or sentence is sent to the Microsoft Azure text-to-speech service and returned to you as audio.
- The photo itself — the image file — is not stored by us, whether or not you save a word.
- Because the entire photo is processed, please make sure the page or text you photograph does not contain personal or sensitive information about you or others.
- You alone are responsible for ensuring that your use of copyrighted book content complies with applicable copyright law. See Section 9 of our Terms of Use for details.
Part B — Who We Work With
4Outside Companies That Help Us Run the App
We share data only with the service providers listed below, only to the extent needed to operate the App, and under their own privacy policies and (where relevant) a data processing agreement with us:

We do not sell your personal data to third parties or share it for advertising purposes. We may share data where required by law, by court order, or to protect our legal rights.
5Advertising and Analytics
The App does not show ads; we do not share data with ad networks and we do not use your data for ad targeting.
We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the App is used and to fix errors. These tools collect technical data such as usage events, app instance ID, device model, operating system version and crash logs.
6Data Retention
- Without an account: Unless you create an account, no account information or saved words belonging to you are kept on our servers.
- With an account: Your data is kept as long as your account is active and is deleted within 30 days of your account deletion request (see Section 12).
- Photos and full page text: not stored by us once the requested processing is complete.
- Subscription and trial record: Your subscription and trial status is kept as long as your account is active and is deleted together with your other data within 30 days of your account deletion request. Purchase records held by the stores are subject to Apple's and Google's own policies.
- Error and technical logs: kept for diagnostic purposes for up to 12 months.
Part C — Your Choices by Region
7International Data Transfers
Our service providers (Google, Anthropic, Microsoft and RevenueCat) may process data outside the country where you live, including in the United States. When we transfer personal data from the EU/UK to a country without an adequacy decision, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Transfers abroad from Türkiye are carried out in accordance with the procedures set out in Article 9 of Law No. 6698.
8Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data (the "right to be forgotten").
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

9If You Are in California
If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (including cross-context behavioral advertising). We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To submit a CCPA request, contact us at support@bookreadinghelper.com.
10If You Are in Türkiye (KVKK)
Under Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed; to request information if it has been processed; to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in line with that purpose; to know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom data is transferred; to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; to request deletion or destruction of data; to request that these actions be notified to third parties to whom the data was transferred; to object to a result against you arising exclusively from analysis by automated systems; and to claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing. The identity of the data controller is given in Section 15. You can send your requests to support@bookreadinghelper.com; your application will be concluded within thirty days at the latest.
Part D — Practical Details
11Age Limit and Children's Privacy
The minimum age to use the App depends on where you live:
- If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you must be at least 16 years old, unless your country of residence sets a lower age of digital consent (which may be as low as 13), in which case that lower age applies.
- If you are outside the EEA/UK, you must be at least 13 years old or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the applicable minimum age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data in breach of this Section, please contact us so we can delete it.
12How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account at any time from the App's Settings menu or by contacting us at support@bookreadinghelper.com. After deletion, your saved words, favorites and account information are permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days, unless retention is legally required. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription or free trial started through the app store; you need to cancel it separately in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
13How We Protect Your Data
We apply reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our systems. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14If This Policy Changes
We may change this Policy from time to time at our discretion. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced through the App or by other reasonable means. Continuing to use the App after the changes take effect means you accept the revised Policy.
